Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Aggregation 07-Oc075 by Kwang Young Chun for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 56,723.64). This price was achieved in the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kwang Young Chun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aggregation 07-De245, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 128,943.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Aggregation 07-Oc075 von Kwang Young Chun für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 56.723,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kwang Young Chun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aggregation 07-De245 beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 128.943,11) versteigert wurde.
