Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Aggregation 99-Ju153 by Kwang Young Chun. The price achieved of HKD 163,800.00 (€ 17,537.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kwang Young Chun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aggregation 07-De245 in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 128,943.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aggregation 99-Ju153 von Kwang Young Chun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 163.800,00 (€ 17.537,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kwang Young Chun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aggregation 07-De245 im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 128.943,11).
