Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Aggregation 15 - DE083 (Dream 5) by Kwang Young Chun. The price achieved of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 52,858.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 380,000.00 – 580,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kwang Young Chun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aggregation 07-De245, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 128,943.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aggregation 15 - DE083 (Dream 5) von Kwang Young Chun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 52.858,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 380.000,00 – 580.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kwang Young Chun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aggregation 07-De245 beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 128.943,11) versteigert wurde.
