Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kwang Young Chun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Aggregation 07 sold for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 90,942.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kwang Young Chun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Aggregation 07-De245 sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 128,943.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kwang Young Chun erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Aggregation 07 für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 90.942,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kwang Young Chun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Aggregation 07-De245 im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 128.943,11).
