Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cross Cut Drawing by Christopher Wilmarth was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2015. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,479.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christopher Wilmarth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Street Leaf #4, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 229,000.00 (€ 155,909.59).
