The work Third Roebling by Christopher Wilmarth was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,620.00 (€ 7,199.55), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wilmarth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Leaf #4 in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 229,000.00 (€ 155,909.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Third Roebling von Christopher Wilmarth wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.620,00 (€ 7.199,55) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wilmarth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Leaf #4 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 229.000,00 (€ 155.909,59).
