Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Christopher Wilmarth was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in August 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,141.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wilmarth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Leaf #4 in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 229,000.00 (€ 155,909.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Christopher Wilmarth wurde im August 2020 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.141,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wilmarth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Leaf #4 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 229.000,00 (€ 155.909,59).
