Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work (I) Cutting Off The Middle Man (Ii) Yesterday In Ahamadabad, India by Christof Kohlhöfer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,573.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Christof Kohlhöfer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 3-D Micky in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 7,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit (I) Cutting Off The Middle Man (Ii) Yesterday In Ahamadabad, India von Christof Kohlhöfer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.573,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christof Kohlhöfer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 3-D Micky im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.125,00.
