This artwork by Chi Peng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2018. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Chi Peng (B. 1981) sold for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,565.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chi Peng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mirage, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,540.37).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chi Peng erzielte im März 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Chi Peng (B. 1981) für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.565,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chi Peng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mirage beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.540,37) versteigert wurde.
