Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints, which included the work Mirage by Chi Peng. The price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,433.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chi Peng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mirage in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,540.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mirage von Chi Peng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.433,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chi Peng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mirage im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.540,37).
