This artwork by Chi Peng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2018. In the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction, the work Apollo in Transit sold for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,654.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. Admittedly, works by Chi Peng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mirage in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,540.37).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chi Peng erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints wurde die Arbeit Apollo in Transit für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.654,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chi Peng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mirage im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.540,37).
