This artwork by Charles LeDray achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2000. In the Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Chuck sold for USD 16,450.00 (€ 17,635.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles LeDray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Promised Land in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,657.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles LeDray erzielte im Mai 2000 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Chuck für USD 16.450,00 (€ 17.635,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles LeDray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Promised Land im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.657,47).
