The work Two works: Untitled (Ski Lift) and Untitled (Lightposts) by Brian Alfred was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,623.39), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Alfred - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Racetrack), which sold at auction in July 2007 for USD 27,600.00 (€ 20,129.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two works: Untitled (Ski Lift) and Untitled (Lightposts) von Brian Alfred wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 5.623,39) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian Alfred mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Racetrack) beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für USD 27.600,00 (€ 20.129,82) versteigert wurde.
