Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Watergate by Brian Alfred for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Part II at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Brian Alfred have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2007 by the work Untitled (Racetrack) at USD 27,600.00 (€ 20,129.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Watergate von Brian Alfred für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Brian Alfred wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2007 die Arbeit Untitled (Racetrack) mit USD 27.600,00 (€ 20.129,82).
