Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (I) Sotp (Ii) Building In Iran (Iii) Hollywood by Brian Alfred was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,933.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Brian Alfred have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Racetrack) in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 27,600.00 (€ 20,129.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit (I) Sotp (Ii) Building In Iran (Iii) Hollywood von Brian Alfred kam im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.933,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Brian Alfred auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Racetrack) im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.600,00 (€ 20.129,82).
