In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw”, which included the work How'S My Drumming? (Senior Version) by Brad Kahlhamer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,852.87), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brad Kahlhamer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Steer Skull, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 27,147.27).

Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” durch, in der auch die Arbeit How'S My Drumming? (Senior Version) von Brad Kahlhamer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.852,87) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Brad Kahlhamer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Steer Skull beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 27.147,27) versteigert wurde.
