The work S.D. International U.S.A. by Brad Kahlhamer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,902.05), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brad Kahlhamer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Steer Skull, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 27,147.27).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit S.D. International U.S.A. von Brad Kahlhamer kam im April 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.902,05) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brad Kahlhamer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Steer Skull beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 27.147,27) versteigert wurde.
