Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Brad Kahlhamer could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction, the work Topps Heat changed hands for USD 1,000.00 (€ 882.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brad Kahlhamer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Steer Skull in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 27,147.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Brad Kahlhamer konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints wechselte die Arbeit Topps Heat für USD 1.000,00 (€ 882,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brad Kahlhamer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Steer Skull im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 27.147,27).
