Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eternal Return by Bill Viola was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 346,000.00 (€ 310,731.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Other works by Bill Viola have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2006 the work Eternal Return was auctioned for GBP 377,600.00 (€ 564,168.04).
