In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work We Can Go Back by Arnaldo Roche Rabell. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,480.00 (€ 56,360.08), 51% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arnaldo Roche Rabell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Pursuit of Happiness, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 197,000.00 (€ 144,789.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit We Can Go Back von Arnaldo Roche Rabell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 56.360,08) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Arnaldo Roche Rabell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Pursuit of Happiness beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 197.000,00 (€ 144.789,06) versteigert wurde.
