Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ramona y el boxeador (Ramona and the Boxer) by Antonio Berni was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,176.00 (€ 2,007.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Berni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Los Emigrantes in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 755,000.00 (€ 554,902.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ramona y el boxeador (Ramona and the Boxer) von Antonio Berni kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.176,00 (€ 2.007,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Berni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Los Emigrantes im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 755.000,00 (€ 554.902,25).
