Auction result well in line with expectations
The work El torero (The Bullfighter) by Antonio Berni was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August this year. The price achieved of USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,125.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Berni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Los Emigrantes in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 755,000.00 (€ 554,902.25).

Die Arbeit El torero (The Bullfighter) von Antonio Berni kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.125,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Berni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Los Emigrantes im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 755.000,00 (€ 554.902,25).
