Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work El torero by Antonio Berni. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,967.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Berni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Los Emigrantes in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 755,000.00 (€ 554,902.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit El torero von Antonio Berni zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.967,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Berni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Los Emigrantes im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 755.000,00 (€ 554.902,25).
