Despite a disappointment, a good price for Antonio Berni
This work of art by Antonio Berni could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Los Emigrantes changed hands for USD 755,000.00 (€ 554,902.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Los Emigrantes is the most expensive artwork by Antonio Berni that we have observed at auction so far.
