Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ann Craven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Stepping Out sold for USD 52,920.00 (€ 43,398.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Craven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 in May last year with an auction result of USD 680,400.00 (€ 634,050.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Craven erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Stepping Out für USD 52.920,00 (€ 43.398,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Craven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 680.400,00 (€ 634.050,88).
