This artwork by Ann Craven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Brussels in October this year. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Bird with Pussy Willows (9-10-12, #5), 2012 sold for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,255.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Craven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 in May last year with an auction result of USD 680,400.00 (€ 634,050.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Craven erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in Brüssel einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Bird with Pussy Willows (9-10-12, #5), 2012 für GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.255,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Craven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 680.400,00 (€ 634.050,88).
