Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ann Craven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction, the work Stepping Out With Cherries, 2011 sold for GBP 239,400.00 (€ 278,898.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ann Craven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I Wasn't Sorry, 2003, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 680,400.00 (€ 634,050.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Craven erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Stepping Out With Cherries, 2011 für GBP 239.400,00 (€ 278.898,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ann Craven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 680.400,00 (€ 634.050,88) versteigert wurde.
