Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Angelo Filomeno could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Arcanum-Knight And Arcanum-Abyss; Two Works changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,588.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Angelo Filomeno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venom, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 30,500.00 (€ 39,892.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Angelo Filomeno konnte im September 2011 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Arcanum-Knight And Arcanum-Abyss; Two Works für USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.588,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Angelo Filomeno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venom beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 30.500,00 (€ 39.892,80) versteigert wurde.
