Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Evening Star by Allan D'Arcangelo was worth USD 100,800.00 (€ 95,238.10) to a buyer in September this year. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Allan D'Arcangelo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work U.S. Highway I, No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 802,600.00 (€ 515,809.77).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Evening Star von Allan D'Arcangelo war einem Käufer im September diesen Jahres USD 100.800,00 (€ 95.238,10) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan D'Arcangelo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit U.S. Highway I, No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 802.600,00 (€ 515.809,77).
