Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, from Graphik USA by Allan D'Arcangelo was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 892.50 (€ 841.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan D'Arcangelo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work U.S. Highway I, No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 802,600.00 (€ 515,809.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, from Graphik USA von Allan D'Arcangelo kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 892,50 (€ 841,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allan D'Arcangelo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit U.S. Highway I, No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 802.600,00 (€ 515.809,77).
