Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Postcard #004 The Blackboard by Jumaldi Alfi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. It achieved a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,741.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jumaldi Alfi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Postcard #004 The Blackboard von Jumaldi Alfi kam im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.741,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jumaldi Alfi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49) versteigert wurde.
