Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work Melting Memories Re-Reading Landscape #03 by Jumaldi Alfi. The price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,260.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 140,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jumaldi Alfi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Melting Memories Re-Reading Landscape #03 von Jumaldi Alfi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.260,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 140.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jumaldi Alfi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49) versteigert wurde.
