Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jumaldi Alfi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work Eternal Flame (Colour Guide Series) sold for HKD 107,100.00 (€ 11,908.43) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jumaldi Alfi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jumaldi Alfi erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit Eternal Flame (Colour Guide Series) für HKD 107.100,00 (€ 11.908,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jumaldi Alfi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49).
