Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Memory Series Number 10069 by Jumaldi Alfi was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 95,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,945.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jumaldi Alfi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Memory Series Number 10069 von Jumaldi Alfi wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 95.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.945,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jumaldi Alfi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49).
