Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Sisyphus Sleeps Tonight by Jumaldi Alfi. The price achieved of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 30,736.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 280,000.00 – 400,000.00. Other works by Jumaldi Alfi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2008 the work Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger was auctioned for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sisyphus Sleeps Tonight von Jumaldi Alfi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 30.736,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 280.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Jumaldi Alfi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2008 die Arbeit Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49) versteigert.
