Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alex Olson could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Script changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,041.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Olson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Circulate, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alex Olson konnte im Juli 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Script für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.041,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Olson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Circulate beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97) versteigert wurde.
