Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alex Olson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December 2019. In the New Now auction, the work Cloak sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,160.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alex Olson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Circulate sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alex Olson erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Cloak für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.160,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alex Olson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Circulate im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97).
