Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alex Olson could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work Transpose changed hands for USD 2,142.00 (€ 1,892.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Olson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Circulate in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alex Olson konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York wechselte die Arbeit Transpose für USD 2.142,00 (€ 1.892,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Olson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Circulate im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97).
