The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,372.46), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alex Becerra; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Woman with Tuba sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 16,380.00 (€ 14,766.07).
