Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Albert Gallatin could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,519.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Gallatin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New York World'S Fair, which sold at auction in September 2017 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,791.50).
