Sold at the upper estimate price
In April 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Abstract Composition (Untitled) by Albert Gallatin. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,338.73), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Gallatin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York World'S Fair in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,791.50).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract Composition (Untitled) von Albert Gallatin zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.338,73) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Gallatin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New York World'S Fair im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.791,50).
