In the American Art Online auction, the work Composition sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,505.97) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Gallatin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York World'S Fair in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,791.50).
