Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Abbas Kiarostami was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,872.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abbas Kiarostami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Abbas Kiarostami wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.872,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17).
