Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (U.S.A. 27 bis) by Abbas Kiarostami was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,276.00 (€ 2,829.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abbas Kiarostami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (U.S.A. 27 bis) von Abbas Kiarostami kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.276,00 (€ 2.829,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17).
