Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (From The Crows Series) by Abbas Kiarostami was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction at Christies in Dubai in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,731.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abbas Kiarostami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (From The Crows Series) von Abbas Kiarostami wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 23.731,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17) versteigert wurde.
