Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (from the Window series) by Abbas Kiarostami was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,585.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abbas Kiarostami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (from the Window series) von Abbas Kiarostami wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.585,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17) versteigert wurde.
