Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Abbas Kiarostami was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,592.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abbas Kiarostami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Abbas Kiarostami kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.592,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17) versteigert wurde.
