Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian, which included the work Snow White 5 by Abbas Kiarostami. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,825.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abbas Kiarostami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snow White 5 von Abbas Kiarostami zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.825,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17) versteigert wurde.
