Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Aaron Curry was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aaron Curry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fractured Union (In Perfect Form), which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 67,369.88).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Aaron Curry wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Aaron Curry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fractured Union (In Perfect Form) beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 67.369,88) versteigert wurde.
