Auction result well in line with expectations
The work MUFF MOUTH by Aaron Curry was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,001.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Aaron Curry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fractured Union (In Perfect Form) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 67,369.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit MUFF MOUTH von Aaron Curry wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.001,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aaron Curry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fractured Union (In Perfect Form) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 67.369,88).
